Teaching by Periods Certain subjects in the Primary School and all the subjects in the Secondary School, with the exception of gymnastics and gardening, are taught by periods. That means that a subject is taught for 90 or 60 minutes per day during 3 to 5 weeks. This method allows for deeper and more concentrated work. After this period the subject isn't taught over a certain time, giving the students the chance to assimilate the contents, before coming back and developing them at a later stage.
