Fetes and Performances Waldorf schools wish to establish a healthy and balanced use of time, yearly as much as daily. The year is given rhythm by fetes (i.e. celebrations) and performances, where students present excerpts from the subjects on which they are working to an audience of parents and fellow students. The younger ones can see where they are heading while the older children learn to respect the achievements of the younger age groups. Thus there is a raised awareness of the school's progress, and the social conscience is stimulated. |
