Form teachers and "subject" teachers (specialised teachers)


The form teachers stay with the same class for the first 6 or sometimes 8 years of school. Every school morning, they have the class for two 90 minute periods during which subjects such as Calculus, German, Drawing, History, Biology and Geography are taught.

Subjects and Timetables

The curriculum is divided up into three equal parts: "Languages and Social Sciences", "Mathematics and Natural Sciences" and "Arts & Crafts and Movement". In addition, in each grade, one or several topics are treated in parallel by teachers of different subjects.

Homework

Homework helps to strenghten willpower and to deepen understanding of the material taught at school. 

It has to be such that each student can do it autonomously and in a reasonable amount of time by using his period book or other easily accessible sources.

Yearly reports

At the end of each period, the students receive a written report, which, in the early classes, can be limited to an encouraging text at the end of the copybook.
